A little more about your day

A Nile cruise is one of the best ways to see the monuments of ancient Egypt and everyday life along the river. This four-day cruise sails one way from Aswan to Luxor, with daily excursions to the major landmarks led by an Egyptologist guide.

You stay on board a five-star deluxe cruise ship with full board, so meals are taken care of and you can focus on the sights. Private transfers are included, with the option to end your trip in Hurghada.

  • One-way cruise

Four days on the Nile from Aswan to Luxor on a five-star deluxe ship.

  • Full board

Accommodation and meals on board, so the journey is all inclusive.

  • Egyptologist guide

Daily guided visits to the major temples and tombs.

  • Private transfers

With the option to end your trip in Hurghada.

Step by step

  1. Philae Temple, High Dam and Unfinished Obelisk

Pickup from Aswan airport, train station or your hotel between 8:00 and 10:00, then drive in an air-conditioned vehicle with your Egyptologist guide to the Temple of Philae (reached by boat), the High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk. Board the ship for dinner and your first night in your cabin.

  2. Optional Abu Simbel, sailing to Kom Ombo

Optional early-morning excursion to the temples of Abu Simbel (extra cost; about 2 hours at the site; admission not included). The Great Temple of Ramesses II is dedicated to Ptah, Re-Horakhty, Amun-Re and the king himself; the smaller temple honours Queen Nefertari and the goddess Hathor. Back in Aswan, the ship sails to Kom Ombo. Visit the Temple of Kom Ombo (about 2 hours; admission included), set on high ground above the Nile and unusual for its double entrance, dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Haroeris.

  3. Edfu, sailing to Luxor, Karnak and Luxor Temples

Visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu (about 2 hours), considered the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt, where myth says Horus avenged his father Osiris. Sail on to Luxor and visit Karnak, with its avenue of sphinxes, its great hypostyle hall of 134 columns, its obelisks and its sacred lake, then Luxor Temple, dedicated to Amun-Re.

  4. Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and Colossi of Memnon

Optional hot-air balloon ride over Luxor at sunrise (extra cost). After disembarking, visit the Valley of the Kings (about 2 hours), where your guide will recommend the best three tombs to enter, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (about 1 hour 30 minutes) and the Colossi of Memnon (about 15 minutes), the remains of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III. The tour ends at around 12:00.
